Beginning at the port, first, visit the glorious Bahai Gardens. Running down the hill are 19 steep terraces, all bursting with colorful flowers. Travel onto Rosh Ha Nikra, Israel’s most northern point in the Western Galilee, where white cliffs meet sea and underground can be found natural caves. With a total length of 200 meters, for years only experienced divers could reach them - today, however, a short cable car ride takes you down into the grotto, where you can walk through limestone caves while Mediterranean waves crash around you.
Then, accompanied by your personal guide, journey on to Acre, an ancient Crusader City with astonishingly well-preserved city walls. Wander the narrow streets, through its bazaar, and explore the prison in operation by the Turks, as well as the gallows used by the British in the 1940’s to hang Jewish prisoners. Return by bus to Haifa port.

This private tour begins in Haifa, with a visit to the spectacular Bahai Gardens. Set out in the form of 19 sculptured terraces that descend down a steep hill, admire the array of flowers, before paying a visit to the famous Shrine at the base of the grounds. Journey onto Rosh Ha Nikra (in Hebrew “The Head of the Grottos’), the most northerly point in Israel’s Western Galilee and the only place where sea meets white chalk cliffs. Descend in a cable car (a short but very steep ride!) into ancient limestone grottos that, for a long time, were inaccessible to the public. Experience the power of the sea, as waves crash around you, and enjoy the unique views as you walk through the tunnels.
Continue with your private guide onto Acre, a beautifully-preserved Crusader City, conquered by Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and Turks to name but a few and today home to a mix of Jews, Christians and Arabs. Walk through the narrow streets, past the Knights Halls and Turkish baths, stopping at the ancient walls and moat. Wander in the old Bazaar, where you can drink strong black coffee, sample locals sweets and purchase souvenirs. Enjoy the stone architecture, savour the ancient atmosphere and visit the prison, last used in Ottoman Times by the Turks and the gallows used by the British 75 years ago. Wander through the Templars Tunnel, today completely excavated - enter at one end, walk along a wooden deck and emerge next to a turquoise blue sea and an invigorating breeze. Finally, take a break at the small fountain, next to the Templars Hall, and relax under the branches of the huge trees there. At the day’s end, return to Haifa port with your private guide.

This is a service we provide for travelers who arrive in Israel via cruise ship. In essence, it is a private tour which runs directly from the Port of Haifa and Ashdod to the tour destinations offered

What does the price include?

The price includes a private car and attached tour guide which will pick you up from the Port of Haifa and Ashdod and return you to the same location. The trip is limited to 10 hours ($40 for every extra hour). Find full information under the "Additional Information" section of each tour.

Can I plan the trip to do what I want to do?

Yes, the mentioned itinerary is only a proposal; we can customize this private tour according to your wish. Please note that if, due to the changes, the tour duration be above 10 hours, you will be required to pay $40 for every extra hour.

What languages are the Ship to Shore tours offered in?

Nearly all languages. However, it is advisable to book in advance tours in languages that aren’t English, Spanish, Russian, German or French. Plus, in certain cases, a tour guide in a language not mentioned above may incur an additional fee ($30-100 – depending on the language and the tour).

Do I have to show gratuity, (tip) my guide?

You don’t have to, but it is appreciated by tour guides as a sign of your satisfaction with the services he has provided.

Will I have time to buy souvenirs during the tour?

Can I change the date of my tour, or cancel my order?
